Section 58 Notice

Restriction of Street Works on A40 from Pensarn Roundabout to Llangunnor Roundabout, Carmarthenshire

 

It is intended to create a restriction on Street Works following Substantial Road Works.

 

In accordance with the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991, Code of Practice for the Co-ordination of Street Works and Works for Road Purposes and Related Matters, Third Edition July 2007.

• It is proposed to carry out substantial road works on A40, from Pensarn Roundabout to Llangunnor Roundabout, Carmarthenshire the works will involve the planing and resurfacing of the existing carriageway.
• The anticipated commencement date is Monday 21st September 2009 for a programmed duration of 5 weeks.
• The restriction on Street Works following the completion of the substantial road works will be for 3 years, (with the exception of exempt works).

Those Statutory Undertakers that have proposed programmed works scheduled for within the next three years should consider the need to bring these works forward, and respond to this notice within 20 days of the date of this notice.
