Section 58 Notice

Restriction of Street Works on A483 Rhosmaen Street, Llandeilo

 

It is intended to create a restriction on Street Works following Substantial Road Works.

 

In accordance with the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991, Code of Practice for the Co-ordination of Street Works and Works for Road Purposes and Related Matters, Third Edition July 2007.

• It is proposed to carry out substantial road works (following substantial street works) in Rhosmaen Street, Llandeilo, the works will involve Western Power Distribution renewing electricity main cables and service cables and Dwr Cymru/Welsh Water/ Laing O’Rourke carrying out water main refurbishment.
• This will be followed by reconstruction of part of the carriageway and the resurfacing of the whole length of the carriageway affected by the works.
• The anticipated commencement date is Monday 7th April 2008 for a programmed duration of 4 weeks. The works will affect the trunk road at Rhosmaen Street from its junction with Carmarthen Street to its junction with New Road/Crescent Road.
• The restriction on Street Works following the completion of the substantial road works will be for 5 years, (with the exception of exempt works).

Those Statutory Undertakers have proposed programmed works scheduled for within the next five years should consider the need to bring these works forward, and respond to this notice within 20 days of the date of this notice.

 

Those residents of properties fronting the affected section of Rhosmaen Street should consider the need for new or up-rated service connections that might be required within the immediate future and respond to this notice within 20 days of the date of this notice.
